The project for KaarCabs was done on time. We had 20 days to get everything ready. Our goal was to get a digital booking platform up and running for KaarCabs.
First we looked at what people in Victoria need when they travel. Then we made an interface that works well on mobile phones for KaarCabs.
We did all this work in 20 days. During this time we added a system to estimate fares for KaarCabs that’s easy to use. We also made sure that people can pay securely for KaarCabs.
Now the digital cab experience for KaarCabs is fully available. People in the area can use KaarCabs to book rides to the airport, around town or to places, outside of town.
Our teams main problem was creating a booking system that could handle different types of transportation requests. These requests included picking people up right away taking them on long trips to other towns and providing special taxi tours. We had to make sure the user interface was easy to use and not too cluttered. At the time customers needed to be able to choose specific types of vehicles, such as Sedans, SUVs and Maxi Taxis. They also needed to get clear fare quotes without any hassle.
* We had to make our platform trustworthy in a competitive ride-hailing market.
* We designed the platform to show that we have safety standards.
* Our safety standards included drivers and 24/7 availability.
* We made sure these safety standards were noticeable from the start of the users journey.
