The project was completed on a narrow one-month sprint successfully to create a fast, conversion-oriented digital booking platform of Quick Junk Pro. During the four weeks, our team worked on mapping their large service territories in Southern Ontario and figuring out an easy to use and volume-based pricing structure. We quickly implemented a smooth online booking platform, including the ability to use photos to buy, and mobile-friendly navigation, allowing the company to begin instantly generating local leads and sending same-day junk removal teams without interfering with operations.
Our main technical problem was to design a digital platform that would enable us to make a complicated, space-based pricing system a frictionless user experience. Quick Junk Pro provides a broad range of services, including single-appliance pickups, full estate cleanout, and light demolition, so the booking interface could not be too extensive and still allow being user-friendly. We needed to develop an intuitive flow in which users could simply learn the capabilities of a truck load (1/4, 1/2 or Full Load) and get straightforward and straightforward estimates without any hidden costs.
Moreover, the on-demand removal industry is highly competitive, so it was imperative to build instant trust and a feeling of urgency. We overcame this by incorporating the service availability notifications (e.g. 3 slots left to same-day service) to be dynamic, and make their eco-friendly disposal guarantees visible. Combining these conversion triggers with a solid, mobile-friendly framework, we were able to create a platform that enables the users in high stress cleanout cases to take a picture, receive a quote, and book a truck with a few swipes of their fingers.
