The project was completed successfully in a shortened 20-day sprint to create a classy and high-converting online store to create Luxora Collection. During these three weeks, our team was working on designing an all-inclusive e-commerce catalog that can support various different types of jewelry- statement necklaces, everyday anti-tarnish jewelry, etc. We quickly implemented smooth shopping cart, system, installed safe payment gateways around the world and created a perfectly mobile-responsive platform. This nimble response enabled the brand to start expanding its global delivery services at once without sacrificing on the luxury style.
The main technical issue that we had to solve was how to structure a large and highly diverse inventory of products into a user experience that is as frictionless as possible. Luxora Collection has a wide range of products such as complex Jhumkas and fine anti-tarnish rings, kadas, and hair accessories among men and children. We had to come up with a sophisticated, multi-level navigation platform, one that would enable the shopper to sift through these different collections without the interface becoming crowded. Also, the presentation of the high quality and fineness of high-end jewelry demanded high spec image quality, and that is why we had to establish strict image optimization policies, which would enable us to achieve superfast page loading times, particularly among mobile customers.
Moreover, a challenge in terms of design was the need to translate the luxurious, touchy experience of a luxury jewelry store into a digital space. To counter this, we chosen a minimalistic, elegant UI which enabled the gold and crystal products to shine. Our smooth combination of the standard e-commerce buying process and a specific Virtual Appointment booking application allowed us to create a flexible platform, which can serve both those who want to buy an accessory and those who want to get a personal approach to a more expensive product.
